KIDS WORKSHOP

A 2 hour workshop here on the farm! Learn about farming and gardening from Elijah, the farmer himself. Discover the tools that make gardening more efficient & get hands on experience using these different tools, mulching & why we do it, the benefits of companion planting and how the bees play an important role in all this.

 

Learn about flock care (our chickens, turkeys, ducks & goose). Elijah is passionate about animals and has a vast knowledge on heritage breeds, animal behaviour, coop care, egg laying: which breeds lay which colours & much more!  The kids will even have the opportunity to hold and pet a chicken if they like...this would make a great photo op we can share with you later!

 

The kids will get to plant some seeds that they will be able to take home and care for as well as they will  receive a video of their time spent here on the farm! Taking a wagon ride around our 10 acres will also be part of the fun!!

 

Being able to grow your own food and be a little more self sustaining is so rewarding. We will encourage your kids to ask questions about what they are learning as no question is a silly one!
